I bought this game with sale coupon, it's worth the money :)+Trading cards. Here is a shmup that does a great deal right and very little wrong. There are player and ship upgrades, many different enemies with unique attacks, three weapons with independent cooldowns, and plenty of difficulty customization options. There's a unique gameplay mechanic where you can flip your ship to shoot the opposite direction, giving more strategic choice about what threats to deal with.The bad points are mostly ignorable. I have no idea what the story is because I can't understand the voice acting and there's no subtitles. There's very little instruction about the interface but that's no big deal once you get used to it, just don't give up on it early. The name of the game is really stupid. That sort of thing. Levels start to feel repetitive after all the enemy types have been introduced but then, it's a shmup. What do you expect? The game is surprisingly long; after 2 hours I'm about halfway through the 50 levels, and there's still plenty of space to go back and play earlier levels with harder options. I'm not going to, but still. Even 25 levels is long for a shooter like this. If the game stopped at 20 then no one would be complaining about repetitive levels.Feel free to ignore the tags like "RPG". This is a shooter in almost its purest form.. this is a really fun game with lots of upgrades and it reminds me of alot of really old games like galaga but still different then the classics. This is a simple game, but it's easily worth the dollar I paid for it. I like bullet hell games that are playable. You can upgrade your ship, increase the difficulty which works, and have more fun after you beat it. So many games, when you raise the difficulty, the enemies have more health and your bullets do less damage. In this game, raising the difficulty gives you MORE ENEMIES, making you feel like a total bad @$$ dealing sweet justice to every insect ship across the universe.Does this game have a story? Idk, I muted it because it was annoying. This game gets two high fives for gameplay and music.. Music is pretty good.
